How It Works

The Haskell model describes rupture on a rectangular fault. Rupture begins at the hypocenter (⭐) and spreads outwards in a circle at a constant Rupture Velocity (Vᵣ). When the rupture front reaches a point, that point slips for a fixed duration called the Rise Time (τ).
